CPV Protest:

On Saturday, June 6, we protested at the CPV fracked gas power plant in Wawayanda, NY. This fracked gas power plant is a ghastly monstrosity that was built on bribes (Governor Cuomo’s right hand man Joseph Percoco has been convicted!) and that will poison our land, water, and air for decades to come. Every Saturday protesters gather in front of the facility to raise consciousness and keep up the pressure to shut down the plant. 350NJ-R joined this protest for the second time on June 9. We were thanked and inspired by Pramilla Malick, Chair of Protect Orange County and candidate for NY State Senate, who has waged a heroic battle over the past several years. You don’t have to wait for the next time we go as a group—if you are free, show up any Saturday from 11 am to noon as many of us have in the past. It’s important to let decision makers know that we care about climate change, fossil fuel infrastructure, and enviro-corruption!
